Rebbetzin Suri Gibber – Principal, Teacher – Hashkafa, Toras Habayis
Rebbetzin Suri Gibber received her teaching degree from Yavne Teachers Seminary in Cleveland, Ohio, and her degree in math education from Notre Dame College in Cleveland, Ohio. She has decades of experience teaching elementary and high school students, as well as adults. Before moving to Minneapolis, Rebbetzin Gibber served as co-founder and director of Etz Chaim Center for Jewish Studies in Baltimore, Maryland, and then General Studies principal of Bais Yaakov High School of Greater Miami. This is her twenty-fifth year as principal of Bais Yaakov High School of the Twin Cities.
Miss Devora Cohen - Beur Tefila, G.O. Advisor
Miss Cohen grew up in Minneapolis, and attended Bais Yaakov High School of the Twin Cities. She received her teaching degree from Mesores Rochel Seminary in Yerushalayim. She is currently teaching at Bais Yaakov and at Torah Academy.
Mrs. Aviva Crystal- Chumash, 12th Grade Yearbook Advisor, I OWN IT Advisor, 11th -12th Grade Mechaneches
Mrs. Aviva (Herron) Crystal grew up in Minneapolis, where she was a student at Bais Yaakov High School of the Twin Cities. She received her teaching degree from BJJ in Yerushalayim, and subsequently taught at Torah Academy and then Bais Yaakov. This is Mrs. Crystal’s fourteenth year teaching at Bais Yaakov.
Rabbi Yisroel Meir Ebstein - 10th Grade Halacha
Rabbi Ebstein learned in Yeshiva Gedola of Cliffwood, Brisk Yeshiva, and Bais Medrash Gavoha before moving to Minneapolis to join the Minneapolis Community Kollel. This is his second year teaching at Bais Yaakov.
Mrs. Shaina Gitty Engelson – Hashkafa/Penimi Curriculum
Mrs. Engelson received her teaching degree from BJJ Seminary in Yerushalayim. She has been teaching for twenty-one years, first in New Jersey, then in Torah Academy in Minneapolis. This is her fifth year at Bais Yaakov.
Mrs. Shulamit Gibber – Chumash, Foundations, Hineini, 9th Grade Mechaneches
Mrs. Gibber received her teaching degree from Hadar Seminary in Yerushalayim. She taught in Chicago and Cleveland for four years before moving to Minneapolis. This is her sixth year at Bais Yaakov.
Rebbetzin Tzipora Greenberg – Chumash
Rebbetzin Greenberg received her teaching degree from Yavne Seminary in Cleveland, Ohio. She taught in Toronto and Lakewood before moving to Minneapolis, where she has been teaching at Torah Academy. This is her third year at Bais Yaakov.
Rabbi Mordechai Kalatsky –Topics in Torah
Rabbi Kalatsky learned in Lakewood for ten years before moving to Minneapolis to become the Director of Corporate Learning for the Minneapolis Community Kollel. Rabbi Kalatsky currently serves as full-time rabbi of KI. Since his arrival in Minneapolis, Rabbi Kalatsky has taught and impacted hundreds of men, women, and teenagers. This is Rabbi Kalatsky’s twelfth year at Bais Yaakov.
Mrs. Shainy Kaufman – Darcheinu Curriculum, Gedolim program
Mrs. Kaufman received her teaching degree from BJJ and her Masters’ degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Cincinnati. She worked as co-coordinator of the Resource Room in Torah Academy. Mrs. Kaufman currently practices Speech Language Pathology and serves as Bnos Coordinator in Minneapolis. This is Mrs. Kaufman’s third year at Bais Yaakov.
Mrs. Hindy Kulefsky - Midos Vaad, Mishmeres Advisor
Mrs. Kulefsky grew up in Lakewood, NJ, and then received her teaching degree from Mesores Rochel Seminary in Yerushalayim. After living in Eretz Yisroel in Kollel for four years, the Kulefskys came to Minneapolis this year to join the Minneapolis Community Kollel. She will be teaching at Bais Yaakov and will be giving a Midos Vaad to Bais Yaakov alumni, as well. This is Mrs. Kulefsky’s first year at Bais Yaakov.
Rabbi Maier Kutoff – Historia
Rabbi Kutoff has been teaching at Bais Yaakov since Bais Yaakov opened its doors twenty-eight years ago. Rabbi Kutoff has his Semicha and his Masters in Talmudic Law from Ner Yisroel in Baltimore, MD, and his M.S. in computer science from Johns Hopkins University. Rabbi Kutoff is a popular teacher and lecturer for both adults and teenagers.
Mrs. Shaindy Mandelbaum – Chumash, Lashon, Events Coordinator
Mrs. Mandelbaum was born and raised in Eretz Yisroel, and moved to the United States as a teenager. She received her teaching degree from Yavne Seminary in Cleveland, Ohio, and her B.A. in Jewish Studies from HTC in Chicago, IL. She has been teaching at Bais Yaakov almost every year since its inception.
Mrs. Avigail Mintz – Historia, Tehillim, Shesh Mitzvos Temidios, Shemoneh Esreh, 10th Grade Mechaneches
Mrs. Mintz received her teaching degree from BJJ Seminary in Yerushalayim. She taught for three years in Bais Yaakov of Los Angeles, also leading extra-curricular programs and teaching a Technology Program. Mrs. Mintz taught for four years in Bais Shaindel in Lakewood before relocating to Minneapolis. This is Mrs. Mintz’ fourth year at Bais Yaakov High School of the Twin Cities.
Mrs. Bashie Rothstein– Student Advocate/ Executive Functioning Coach
Mrs. Rothstein received her teaching degree from Yavne Seminary in Cleveland, and her Masters in Special Education with a specialty in reading, from Mercy College. She taught self-contained elementary age classes in Lakewood for three years and first/second grade classes in Torah Academy for seven years. This is Mrs. Rothstein’s fourth year at Bais Yaakov.
Mrs. Esti Shurpin – Megillah, Lashon, Kriah Program, Lemaan Daas curriculum
Mrs. Shurpin received her teaching degree from Bais Chana in Tzefas, and her degree in special education from Excelsior College. She has taught in Eretz Yisroel, New York and in Minnesota over a span of fifteen years. This is her ninth year at Bais Yaakov.
Rabbi Binyomin Stoll – Parsha
Rabb Stoll learned in Ner Yisroel Toronto, Brisk Yeshiva, and Bais Medrash Gavoha in Lakewood, NJ, before moving to Minneapolis to join the Minneapolis Community Kollel. Rabbi Stoll’s shiurim to adults and teenagers in Minneapolis have been very well - received. This is his second year teaching in Bais Yaakov High School of the Twin Cities.
Rabbi Moshe Spiro - Halacha
Rabbi Spiro learned in Yeshiva Gedola of Toronto, Yeshiva Gedola of Paterson, Mir Yeshiva in Eretz Yisroel, and Bais Medrash Gavoha in Lakewood, NJ, before moving to Minneapolis to assume the role of Rosh Chabura in the Minneapolis Community Kollel. This is his second year teaching in Bais Yaakov High School of the Twin Cities.
Mrs. Basya Trenk – Navi
Mrs. Trenk received her teaching degree from BJJ Seminary in Yerushalayim. She taught in Bais Yaakov of Baltimore for fourteen years. This is her fifth year teaching at Bais Yaakov.
Mrs. Sari Waxman - Bekius, Support Coordinator, Chesed Coordinator
Mrs. Waxman received her teaching degree from BJJ and Breuer’s Teachers Seminaries. She has over twenty-five years of teaching experience in all grade levels. Mrs. Waxman has also directed summer camp and has taught Bas Mitzva students and adults. Mrs. Waxman has been at Bais Yaakov since its second year.
Rabbi Moshe Weinberg – Halacha
Rabbi Weinberg received his Semicha from Telshe Yeshiva in Chicago, IL. Rabbi Weinberg has been a popular teacher of both adults and children for many years. Rabbi Weinberg has been at Bais Yaakov since its inception.
